Morning from Yuzawa and what a lovely morning it is as well. Somewhat chilly overnight but the sun is out this morning and I can't see any clouds. It should be a fine day to be out with temperatures forecast to rise to around 16 degrees later in this afternoon. This was mentioned over on the Naeba Now report, but over at Kagura they have put down a large area of 'snow mats' at the Mitsumata area. This means that Kagura Mitsumata is now going to be open during the summer months when there's no snow. It also means that Kagura will definitely be open on the 21st November as planned The forecast isn't looking too hopefully for any snow over the next week - even higher up.

The November Paris attacks were a series of coordinated Islamist terrorist attacks [13] [14] that took place on Friday 13 November in Paris , France and the city's northern suburb, Saint-Denis. Beginning at pm, three suicide bombers struck outside the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, during an international football match, after failing to gain entry to the stadium. A third group carried out another mass shooting and took hostages at a rock concert attended by 1, people in the Bataclan theatre , leading to a stand-off with police. The attackers were either shot or blew themselves up when police raided the theatre. The attackers killed people, [3] including 90 at the Bataclan theatre. In response to the attacks, a three-month state of emergency was declared across the country to help fight terrorism, which involved the banning of public demonstrations, and allowing the police to carry out searches without a warrant, put anyone under house arrest without trial and block websites that encouraged acts of terrorism. On 18 November, the suspected lead operative of the attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud , was killed in a police raid in Saint-Denis , along with two others. France had been on high alert for terrorism since the Charlie Hebdo shooting and a series of related attacks in January by militants belonging to Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula , [23] and had increased security in anticipation of the United Nations Climate Change Conference , scheduled to be held in Paris at the beginning of December, as well as reinstating border checks a week before the attacks. Throughout , France witnessed smaller attacks: the February stabbing of three soldiers guarding a Jewish community centre in Nice , [36] the June attempt to blow up a factory in Saint-Quentin Fallavier, [37] and the August shooting and stabbing attack on a passenger train. The Bataclan theatre had been threatened a number of times because of its public support for Israel.
